You should know, I am a true believer in getting your money’s worth. I was raised on using everything you could every way you could. I’ve brought that same concept to my skincare line. That is why I consider my Papaya + Vitamin C Serum to be a multi-use product. Keep reading below to read four ways you can use this serum.
1) Exfoliator for smooth skin
You might stop me, and ask how something with no grit could remove dead skin. Exfoliators that contain a bead or scrubbing agent are called physical exfoliants. While physical exfoliants can be helpful, they can also cause a myriad of issues depending on your skin type. They can lead to redness, aggravate acne or strip the skin of its natural oils.
This serum contains papaya enzymes that make it an active exfoliant. The papaya enzymes eat away at the dead cells, dissolving them without the irritation a scrub may cause.
Furthermore, regular gentle exfoliation can lead to smoother skin and healthier cell turnover stabilizing the natural functions of your skin.
2) Lighten dark spots
Whether hyperpigmentation from sun damage, post inflammatory acne marks or melasma (patchy spots brought on by hormonal shifts), vitamin C can help.
This serum utilizes a more stable form of vitamin C called methyl ascorbate. Regular use of vitamin C can lead to clearer tone and a more even complexion.
3) Smooth the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines
A good deal of what brings about the effects of aging has to do with imbalances. These imbalances include (but are not limited to) oil production, sun exposure and good collagen production.
This Papaya + Vitamin C Serum contains aloe vera gel. This incredible ingredient contains properties that stimulate good collagen production which helps to strengthen and help skin hold its structure (give it that bounce back). Also, when exfoliating a healthy amount (not too much or too little) the lack of cell build up helps give a wrinkle free appearance.
4) Brightening effect
This serum contains antioxidant rich ingredients. Antioxidants help to stabilize the skin. Moreover, this stabilization aids the skin in a number of ways including: clearer complexion, reversal of the damaging effects of the sun, reduction of inflammation and smooths the appearance of aging.
Some of the ingredients with high antioxidant properties in this serum include camu camu berry extract and green tea extract.
How and where
When deciding on application, you can try two different ways depending on your skincare goals:
- For brightening and evening tone: use one to two pumps allover your face, neck and decollété
- For specific areas of concern: spot treat focusing (i.e.- dark spots, fine lines, etc.)
Also, make sure you always listen to your skin. I have some clients that use the Papaya + Vitamin C Serum once a week and others that you it twice a day. Watch how your skin responds and act accordingly: increasing use for results or pulling back to maintain balance.
This product is made without any of the following:
- High irritants
- Toxic ingredients
- Synthetic dyes
- Fragrance (synthetic), only natural essential oils
- Ingredients known to cause issues during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Animal testing
I hope that this helps you hit your skin care goals and get your money’s worth! You are never just one thing, your serum shouldn’t be either.
